Lovin' Being Home in Kansas!

While I'm in Kansas I'm staying with my sister Robyn and we are having so much fun together! It's nice spending time with her and her kids. My dad is in such good spirits and isn't ready to quit on life yet. He amazes me! Daddy is.....well, he's Daddy......and the best one I could ever ask for. He is so weak and fragile, but he does as much as he can for himself and is in good spirits. My stepmom, Carol, is so good to Daddy and I am thankful that she is here to take care of him and be such a wonderful friend and partner to him while he's going through stage of his life and preparing for death. I am so blessed to have my family!
..........and yes, Earl I do miss you and the kids and I'll be home soon! Love you!!!

More of What I Made

Here is a picture I borrowed from my sister Robyn. I had her family's name for Christmas and so I Made here a scarf and fingerless gloves in a really pretty rusty, turquoise and gray blend of the Lion Brand Tweed Stripes yarn. It is my favorite color of all of the tweeds. I also made some zebra striped pillows for my niece Ashley because Robyn and Ashley painted her walls in zebra stripe and it looks so cool! I had to make something to add to it. I also made some hotpads and then Emeril's Baby Bam and some chocolate covered pretzels. I really need to learn how to make things for guys though. Sorry Matthew and Darrin!! I had fun making everything up for Robyn's family....I just wish we lived closer so I could actually see them!!

Day 7 and Reindeer and Happy Birthday to my Sister Robyn!

Today is Day #7 and it is a special day because it's my sister Robyn's Birthday!
Today's box is from Erica from Zunky Chic and it is so pretty. There is a little snowman ornament on the inside of it. I really wish my camera worked better because this box is so much prettier than the photo shows.

and this is my sister Robyn with Mallory last New Year's Eve.

They are both kinda crazy and always fun to be around!

Happy Birthday Robyn!

Here is the box I made for Day 7.

I made some little mittens out of felt to put on the inside

to keep Santa's hands warm!

Finally, here is the Reindeer stuff I made for my YOE monthly swap.

I made a little felt reindeer ornament, matchbox ornament, cards and tags and then a little hanging reindeer out of felt.

Have a wonderful day and stay warm!

We had some snow last night so Jace wanted to know if today was Christmas because snow means Christmas! I love 4 year olds and the magic they see in the littlest things!

My Sweet Sister and Some More Trick or Treaters

Yesterday I got an unexpected package in the mail. My sister Robyn sent the kids an I a one way swap package. She said she's been enjoying seeing all of our swap stuff so she decided to make one up herself.
Robyn called it a
S-Somewhat
W-Wicked
A-Aunt
P-Package

She sent all kinds of goodies for me and the kids. Mallory was still at school when we opened it so her goodies are wrapped up still. Isn't the spider web picture frame cute?!?!?? Robyn is very crafty and made that for me.

This is my oldest grand "Baby" Sabrina

Here is her little brother Austin as Tigger.
He had a honey pot for his candy bucket.
