LiFE.....IT's ConStantLY A CHaNGin'

Life is full of changes and change can be an interesting thing. Changes happen when we least expect them I have learned.....sometimes for the good and sometimes.....well, they just plain suck! Eventually though, I usually find the silver lining around the not so welcome changes.

Earl lost his second job on Dec. 30. He has worked for 3 years at a church doing cleaning. It was quite unexpected. No notice, no severence and no renewal of our lease on the house we rent from the church. So now we are short $1,400.00 a month and a place to live.

Fortunately, we found a house about 10 minutes away (so the kids can stay in the same school district). It's not as big and not nearly as nice, but it has potential. I will be loosing my craft room, one bedroom and a second bathroom. It's a really old house and the landlord said we can do whatever we want to fix it up. It does have a nice big yard and a nice front porch. There is a creek a couple of houses down that the kids can so some exploring around.

So, even though it is a very unexpected change, I think it will be nice. Earl and I are actually excited and once he finds a new second job and we get moved we should be okay again. Until then.....we just go with it and accept the new changes in our life.

Changes

Good Afternoon,

I have been going to different peoples Blogs and signing up to win prizes (wish me luck!) through ONE World-ONE Heart. Anyway, I decided that my Blog was so dark with the black background and that it was time for me to have something brighter, cleaner and more refreshing looking. I liked the black, but I want something that feels happier!! So that is why the change if anyone has even noticed it.

I have seen some really neat Blogs and some very talented women through OW-OH. I only heard about this a few days ago and couldn't wait to join. Next year I'll have some better prizes ready!!!

I have added a lot of widgets to my sidebar since I've been Blog hopping. I found some really neat organizations that I could sign up for free of cost and some that just need to be advertised to make other people aware of them. My Blog is going to start to look like a commercial before long, but that's okay as long as it is to help out othe people!

OW-OH has been a great experience for me. It isn't just about signing up for prizes, but seeing how other people from all over the world feel about things and to see how creative people are. I so need to feel like I am a part of a community. Being a SAHM has always been my dream and I really do love it, but it can be a bit lonely.

Have a great day!

Thanks for listening!

More Ramblings.....

I had a terrific day today. I had family time with Earl and my two younger kids, I talked to my mom on the phone, I cooked with my youngest daughter, Mally. I also worked on a quilt while I watched Mally make up cheers and Jace try to join her. It was just a nice quiet kind of day. Everyone was in a good mood and it was just nice!
I started this blog, and as I said before I'm not quite sure why. Nobody has looked at it, which is fine, I think it's kinda of like my own little journal with a little bit of intrigue to it. A little bit of my own dare. Curious to see if someone might peek into my thoughts and think, hey, she's okay, she seems like a really nice person. I don't know, kind of weird, I do know that!
Earl started a new job last week and I have a lot more responsibilities now. I really am enjoying it though. I feel like I'm worth something more than just being a maid. I have a car during the day now, I get to do the grocery shopping and cooking. I get to pick the kids up from school now too. I know this all sounds weird and like maybe I have been sheltered or imprisoned, but with Earl's old job it was just easier for him to do the shopping since he was at the mall's already. He had the only running car so he did the picking up and dropping off of the kids. Earl loves to cook so he took that over years ago. It might sound kind of nice to have all of those responsibilities gone but I really missed that part of me being taken over. I love being home with Jace, but it's so nice to be able to get out of the house and actually be a REAL mom again and not just a live in maid. I think it's true that the more you have to do the more you get done.
Okay, I have a few more things I want to do before I go to bed. So bye for now.
Thanks for listening!
