Playing Catch Up On My Blog

I used to love blogging and since Facebook became so popular I pretty much quit blogging and became addicted to Facebook.  I do enjoy Facebook, but I really miss blogging.

Lexie and Jake were blessed with another healthy baby boy, Wesley, a month ago.
Mallory is 5 months pregnant and doing wonderful.

Ezie and Jace are doing well.
The boys have been spending some time with a family friend and learning to ride ATV's.
Jace played baseball again this year.  It was his first year in the Major's division so he didn't get to play as much as last year but he did really well playing with the older boys.
Jace had a music recital so I bought him a new suit at the thrift store for a couple of dollars and he was pretty impressed with himself.
He has as you can tell opted from getting a haircut for the last year.
He has to get his swag on you know.

I haven't lost any weight yet.  My knee's hurt so bad from the arthritis and I'm looking forward to a knee replacement soon.  I'm trying to exercise some but it's really hard to even walk.  I'm determined to loose some weight though and build up some my muscles in my legs before surgery.

I'll do more catch up over the next few days.
Seriously.....
I will be a better blogger.

The wedding was so nice and I had such a good time.......

too good of a time if you ask Ezie and Mallory.

I visited, drank, and actually danced.....and danced.....and danced.

I DON'T dance,

but I just let go and danced and had so much fun!

Anyway,

Lexie was beautiful and I hope it was the day of her dreams!

I have never made a Jar craft before and I wasn't to sure about this but my sweet friend AwtemNymf said to me

"Today is reveal day! I wasn't sure about mine either, but it's what the artists puts into it that matters! I like it and I'm not blowing sunshine up the patootey *haha*."

So here's my Zombie Jar

I'm Alive and Finally Feeling Somewhat Better, Finally!

I feel better now than I did the last week. I had a combination of things, but the sinus infection has been a killer. Thanks so much to all of you who expressed so much concern while I was sick. You don't know how much that means to me!!!! I can't thank you enough!

We just got back from the kids 2nd football game, which they lost.....again. Oh well, it was fun to see them out there playing. Actually, I lost my glasses on Wednesday so I really couldn't see the kids playing, but they don't know that. Earl was trying to explain things to me the best he could. So I sat there listening and pretended to be watching while I got some crocheting done.

Mallory and Ezie during half time last week

Jake (my future son-in-law) and Mallory doing the tough stand

or as Mallory calls it the looking like you have to poop stand.

I know, she's so ladylike! She's just like her father!

I love pictures of Earl from the back

when he's with the kids.

He's always explaining things to them.

He's trying to teach Jace about football.

Recycling Paper and Other Stuff

I joined a Tiny Scraps Postcard Swap on Swapbot the other day and had so much fun making these postcards that I just kept on going. I only have to make 3, but what a clever way to use my little scraps of paper. Some of them are just the little thing long pieces that I have trimmed off of my papers and others are scraps that I just cut into little squares. I stitched on them after glueing the pieces on.

Yesterday Mallory and I made some homemade paper. The kids love to join in on the blending and mixing up the pulp with their hands. Mallory was noticing the difference in the fibers after we blended them up yesterday.

I made these Spider Man Gift Bags for my sister Stacey to put her boys birthday presents in. I have a bunch of Christmas ones cut out and ready to start.

This is Jake, Anthony and Lexie on a Water Taxi in Chicago. My sister Cathy and her family took them out for the day last Sunday to see Chicago.

New York to Chicago and finally Kansas!

This is a painting of the Amtrak Station that is about 1 1/2 miles from our house. My daughter Alexis, her boyfriend Jake and my little grandson Anthony left from here on Friday evening to start their summer adventure.

They spent about 23 hours on a train similar to this. They did have a break a little over halfway through and stayed with my sister Cathy and her family in Naperville, Illinois for a night and part of a day. Lexie has only seen my mom and my 2 brothers in the last 12 years. So she didn't really now my sister and her family but she said they had so much fun!! Thanks Cathy for making Lexie and the boys feel welcome and showing them a great time!!!
They arrived in Wichita, Kansas this morning about 4:00 a.m. My sweet niece Jessica woke up and picked them up from the train station. Thanks Jess!

I hope you guys are having a great time visiting everyone and getting to now our family!

Where'd it go??
He knew he just had a cupcake,

Where'd it go??
Anthony begged,
"Come on Mom,

Darn,
His Dad and Mom
