2 Weeks Down - 2 More to Go!!

This is my birthday week, tomorrow is my actual birthday. We've made it through 2 weeks of partying. I just want to say Thank You to everyone who has participated in the party and to everyone who has stopped by and left a comment. My kids, even the little ones, have gotten to where on their birthdays they are so excited to have their brothers and sisters come over that they don't even care about presents. They look forward to the time with family and friends so much and I really appreciate all of you celebrating with me!!! It's so nice to have so many wonderful friends!!

Here is a quote that I love from a woman that I really admire:

“A journey of a thousand miles can begin with a single click. With new technologies, we don’t have to leave home to make a friend half a world away... "

جلالة الملكة رانيا العبدالله
Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah

This next statement Queen Rania makes kind of reminds me of how nervous I was about blogging and not only sharing things about myself and my family but my crafts. I am always so worried that other people won't like what I do and was so scared to show the things I made. I'm really glad I kept on blogging and now feel accepted!

"As convenient as it is to keep ourselves within our comfort zones, we need to step up and reach out to those different than ourselves. Looking back, I’m sure all, or at least, most, of us can recall a life-changing personal experience that has forced us to step out of our familiar boundaries… whether changing schools, enrolling in a university, starting a new job or moving to a new neighborhood… the process of embarking on a new world is nerve-wrecking! But, by meeting new people, learning to get along and forming new friendships, with time, you will no longer be known as the ‘new’ peer, colleague or neighbor, and will soon be part of a trusted circle of friends, a group to which he or she belongs, and, more importantly, feels accepted within. I'll draw another name out today and announce this weeks winner of the surprise giveaway!

Happy Birthday Sherry! I was thinking this morning about your blog and how far you have come. You and your blog seem happier than when you first started posting. I am so happy for that and how in touch with you I have felt since reading your blog. Without you, I would never have started my blog and my addiction to blogs. So, thanks.
You are a wonderful, gifted person. I love you lots. Cathy
