A Good Thing

There is a store on Etsy, Etsy for Charity, and if you haven't ever checked it out before you should. Etsy for Charity is a store that is run by Richard Chan and all of the items are donated by Richard and other crafters around the world. All of the proceeds, minus the postage, are donated to the Charity of the Month. If your short on funds, you can join Etsy for Charity and donate as many items as you would like to help out. It doesn't have to be a lot or anything big, because as they say, every little bit helps. Leave a message for Richard if you would like to join on the "Conversation" area on your Etsy page. Please take a minute to stop by and take a look and consider joining Etsy for Charity. It is a nice way to help out!

Fall Mini Swap and A Few New Things in My Etsy Shop

I participated in Emilie's Fall Mini Swap and my partner was Judy. Judy sent me some really nice fall things. She sent me a pumpkin jar, a candle, some fat quarters in fall colors and 2 gorgeous dish cloths. I love fall stuff and Judy definitely out did herself!
This is what I sent Judy. I sent her some homemade potpourri in apple/orange spice and cedar, some scrapbooking stuff, ribbon, fibers and 2 stuffed "grunged" pumpkins that smell like a baked cinnamon mixture. I learned how to make them from Sarah's blog. Thanks for the great idea Sarah! I loved making these.
Thanks Judy for a fun Mini Fall Swap!

Okay, now I'm shamelessly going to plug my Etsy Shop
I made some extra grunge pumpkins for my Etsy Shop and for the Etsy for Charity Shop.
I am selling them for $7.50 a set.
They smell really good!

Earl took me craft shopping on Saturday (which was so nice to get out of the house with Earl!) and we both liked this variegated fall color cotton crochet thread.

I couldn't wait to make a hat out of it.

This is for sell in my Etsy Shop for $6.00.

It fits adults too!

I have been so busy doing swaps that I haven't had time to put anything in my Etsy Shop so it felt good to finally get something new in there. I have a couple of other swaps ready to mail out as soon as Earl can get to the post office for me and a few more things almost done to put in my shop.

Thanks!!

We all just finished our antibiotics for strep and then my little guy, Jace, got a high fever on Saturday night and when I took him to the Dr.'s this morning he has a bilateral ear infection and a red throat. He is back on antibiotics again. I didn't get much accomplished over the weekend because Jace just wants his Mama. I did get a lot of cuddling done though!!

I Did Some More Sewing

These 2 Rag Pillows are for Sale on Etsy for Charity. I made them for the April Challenge which is Hop Into Spring.
I made this Rag Pillow for My Etsy Shop. The back is a Bright Yellow Vintage Chenille. (It killed me to cut into the bedspread-I love yellow!) This pillow is oversized and squishy!!
This is a Little Teacher Bag I made. The teacher design is from Loralie Designs. It's for sale in My Etsy Shop too.
I made this bag last week for Mallory to give to her teacher. It is bigger than the other bag and I added laminated tags to it and added some goodies for Mrs. Winaroski.

I made another pillow but I ran out of stuffing. The blue pillow is so much prettier than the picture shows. I am trying to use up some of my fabric. I have a ton of it sitting around here!! I hope to get some more sewing done tomorrow! The only thing is when I sew NO housework gets done and vica versa. Where is my fairy godmother??

My DIL made this up using the pictures of my 5 oldest boys. So funny!
