Who's Ready for the Most Colorful Season Yet?

Dancing with the Stars is calling this the most Colorful Season Yet.
Who's excited?
Who's going to be watching this season?
Do you have a favorite already?
Are you and your family going to boycott the show because of Chaz Bono being one of the "stars"?
I have been hearing so much controversy over Chaz being on the show.
So.....I'm going to tell you what I think.

I have watched Dancing with the Stars almost every season.  I've missed a couple of seasons...I missed last season because it was on during my dads death and with traveling and stuff I just ended up missing it.  Anyway, I love to watch the show and Earl and the kids enjoy it too.
I would give anything to be able to dance!

Every year I have my favorites and then there are a few people that I don't particularly care for.
I didn't care for Heather Mills, Kate Gosselin,
Pamela Anderson, Joanna Krupa, Jennifer Grey,
just to name a few.
I've had my favorites like Kelly Osbourne,
Gilles Marini (oo la la),
Drew Lachey, Laila Ali,  Mark Dacascos, Mya,
Cloris Leachman and so on and so on.

I am always surprised at how my perception of some of the "stars" are
from maybe what I thought they'd be like.
I start watching the show with an opened mind and if I do vote,
I try to base my vote on the dancing,
because after all it is suppose to be a dancing competition,
not a popularity contest.

As far as Chaz Bono dancing...

SO WHAT!

No, I don't think my children will want to change their gender from watching the show.

Actually,
my kids won't even know anything about Chaz's
gender change unless I tell them.
Chaz is not going on Dancing with the Stars
to promote gender change.

Chaz is going on the show to dance.

***

What about when Joanna Krupa was on the show?
Did she promote posing nude for magazines?

Did your kids become "Jack-ass's" from watching Steve-O?

A computer genius from watching Steve Wozniak?

***

My kids didn't,
and I doubt if yours did either!
I don't think that they will want to change their
gender because Chaz is on the show.

and
even if my kids did

they are my kids
and I will love them
no matter what!

I love color!
I love diversity!
I love to explore different cultures!
After all, differences in people are what makes the world an interesting place!

So my family will be sitting down together tonight and watching Dancing with the Stars with an opened mind.  I am really excited to see Nancy Grace, Ricki Lake, Carson Kressley,
David Arquette and Chaz Bono.

Yes,
a very diverse
and colorful
group of people.....

just the way I like it!

Good Luck to all of the dancers!

Just Chit-Chat

Today is another day. I'm trying a few new projects and they are turning out okay....not quite as nice as I wanted them too, but okay. I have so many things that I want to get done before Christmas and I know I'm not going to get them accomplished. We're having Christmas with our kids on the December 13 this year, which is super early.....we usually don't even have our tree up by then, but it will be this year! I'm leaving for Kansas on December 27ish and want to take back a lot of gifts for my family. So much to do and the time seems to be flying by.

The fairies never came to help me with my housework.....so I can't even send them over to the rest of your homes to help you out. Darn it!

On Dancing with the Stars, it's to bad that Joanna got kicked off because I think she is a better dancer than Donny and Kelly, but I am glad Kelly's still on. I really like her, especially her smile! My prediction though is that Mya will win next week. What to do on Monday nights after next week?!?! LOL!!

Well, I'm off to try out another new project and we'll see how it turns out. Wish me luck!

I Feel Goofy and Random Thoughts

Let's see.....I'm feeling really good today and kinda actually a little goofy. So I'm just going to talk about random things.

I love watching reruns of Bonanza and try to get one episode in every day. I LOVE Westerns and cowboys! Giddy-up! I also think Hoss (Dan Blocker) is just so darn cute!

So, who watches Dancing with the Stars? I wanted Mark from Iron Chef to go further and was so disappointed when he got kicked off last week :( I like Kelly Osbourne a lot, but I think Aaron Carter is the better dancer. Unfortunately for Aaron he just doesn't seem to have the charisma that Kelly does, she has the cutest smile. So now that there are only 4 dancers left I am going for Mya. I LOVED her 70's dance the other night and I like her personality too. Okay, so there's my review of Dancing with Stars.

Earl's off today for Veteran's Day and he's in the kitchen making bacon. Yummy! It's nice having him home for the day and even nicer that he's cooking a good breakfast for us!!

I'm going to sew today and finish up a couple of projects. I suppose I will probably clean house a little too, yuck, but if I don't do it, well, it just won't get done. I really need a fairy.....I believe in them, but damn, why haven't I ever had one come to my house??? Maybe someday.....when I least expect it one will magically appear. Maybe?? You never know!

Okay, everyone have a great day!!

New Fairy Ornaments and American Idol

I posted one of the little fairy ornaments that I made the other day and I've finished up a couple more that I wanted to show off. I'm having fun making them!

This is my favorite one.

I embroideried with gold metalic thread around her wings and necklace and then stitched shoelaces on to her boots. I also added french knots to the bottom trim on her dress.

I LOVED Adam again on American Idol last night!!! He seemed to have so much fun and I think he may be the winner in the end. Adam, Danny and Kris are my favorite guys and Megan is my favorite out of the girls. I love that twangy thing going on in her voice. I'm never good at Idol though in guessing who will get kicked off. Dancing with the Stars is a little easier to guess. I think Gilles will win with Shawn, Lil Kim and Ty coming in for the final 4.

What do you think after this week?

Who's Next to Leave??

I think that tonight on Dancing with the Stars Steve W. and Holly will leave. I admire Steve and think he has the biggest smile I've ever seen, but he just doesn't have the dance skills. He reminds me of me trying to dance.

Who do you think will be leaving?

What's Up With the Dance Off??

I missed last weeks elimination round of Dancing with the Stars so when I watched the "Dance Off" last night I assumed that who ever the judges picked would be the winner. I guess I was wrong! I'm still confused about why there is even a "dance off" when it is only making a 2-3 point difference......the audience vote didn't change......did it???

Oh well, my favorite since the first night is Gille Marini. Call me a sucker for that foreign accent, but I do think Gille dances quite well too. I also like Shawn, Melissa and Lil Kim and Jewel's husband.

I usually fast forward through the guest performances, but last night I was actually watching the while it was on so and I really enjoyed Daryl Hall & John Oates and I'd never heard Adele before but I think I am a fan of hers now. I love her voice! Karina and Edyta's dancing was amazing too! The guys were great, but I was paying more attention to the girls. Man, I wish I could dance!!!

Now for American Idol tonight. I like all of the contestants on the show but I like the little twangy thing in Megan's voice and I like Danny a lot too. We'll see........my first favorite didn't go to far.

Here's What I've Been Working On Lately

I feel so boring lately. I haven't really had anything to blog about. I hated that Alexis Grace got kicked off of Idol last week. She was my favorite. I hope good things happen for her! My favorite shows are on all at the same time now, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, The Mentalist and thank goodness they are changing Samantha Who to a new night because I can only record 2 shows at a time.

So during all of this t.v. time I've been crocheting an afghan. I've got 75 out of 125 squares done. I think it is going to turn out nice! I love the colors and the classic granny squares are my favorite. I should be done in a few weeks, hopefully.

I've also been working on a scrapbook and this is just a generic page in it. I have been having fun though adding paper and stitching together. I make such a big mess with glue so I'm trying to limit the amount I use. I am like a little kid with it........all over my fingers and clothes and whatever else is within it's reach. I did glue on all the buttons though.

I've also been finishing up a couple of swaps that I'll show pictures of here in the next few days. Busy, but boring. That's how I feel lately.
It's cold here again. Like in the low teens at night and 30's during the day. I think the 40-50 degree weather was just a tease. Hopefully this cold blast doesn't last to long because spring is suppose to be here!!!!
Anthony did get over his croup last week. He was in ER all Monday night and then Wednesday when he went to the Dr.'s office they called the ambulance to have him taken 4 blocks to the ER because he needed oxygen right away. It was scary for my daughter, but the croup seemed to go away as fast as it came on. Hopefully he's done with that for a long time!! It's nice to have Anthony back over today to babysit. I missed the little guy!
Have a great day!!

Who is Going to Win??

The couple I like the best last night on Dancing with the Stars was Brooke & Derrick. I thought they did an outstanding job. Brooke looked so beautiful and danced with such grace.
My second choice was Lance & Lacy. I loved their dance and totally understood the idea of them dancing barefoot. How did Judge Len not get it? I was impressed with Lance on that dance.

My third choice was Maurice & Cheryl. I have always liked Cheryl and Maurice can definitely shake the dance floor.
My usual first choice moved down to fourth this week. I really enjoy Warren & Kym's dancing, but those shoes must of been really hurting Warren's feet last night because he just wasn't his usual dancing self. He's so darn cute though! For being such a big man he sure can dance. I hope he has comfortable shoes on next week!!

Cody & Edyta would have to be my next choice. I have never been a huge fan of Cody's, although he is doing much better and I'm sure it was hard to switch partners this far into the competition.

Finally, I think Susan will be the one to get booted off next. I like her but I just don't think she can let loose like the other celebrities. I would be the same way, if I could even dance a little bit, to stiff and try to hard.
So now we have to wait until Wednesday night to find out who stays and who goes. Do you watch Dancing with the Stars and who were your favorites??

My DIL made this up using the pictures of my 5 oldest boys. So funny!
