Hurricane Ike

Sarah from Gypsy Mermaid Life just did a post a little while ago that she and her family are safe, BUT they lost their house and everything in it during Hurricane Ike. Sarah is asking for prayers but several bloggers are asking for her address to send donations. Any $$, craft supplies, photo albums (she lost her wedding photos) so she can try to replace some photos. I'm sure Sarah will appreciate anything. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

This is so terrible and sad for Sarah! I can't even image what I would try and grab if I had to leave our house. We should all try and put our most precious photos on a website like Flickr. I'm sorry Sarah lost hers. My heart goes out to her and her family

How devastating! I can't imagine the loss. You can replace everything but the photos, but hopefully some of her family members have some. We are waiting news from my brother-in-law, their home survived Gustav & all they know right now is the walls on their home are still standing, but waiting to be allowed to see if it is still alright. They lost all when Katrina hit! I am praying for all of those we know and don't know!

This is so sad, and I'm sure there are quite a few others who have lost all, as well. Thanks for posting this, Sherry, and giving us the opportunity to help out! I visited Sarah's blog, saw her darling little studio, and am heartsick for her.

Oh my word this is horrendous - We don't get hurricanes here and can't imagine the devastation.
Thinking about everyone who is affected by this destruction...

Oh man I was just working my way down my blog list. I hadn't gotton to her. What an incredibly trying journey. That is a wonderful idea to send her new supplies and gifts to help her get through this.

My DIL made this up using the pictures of my 5 oldest boys. So funny!
