Wonky Bags

I was reading Aunt Pitty Pat's Blog the other day and she was talking about how the seams on her quilt squares don't always match up. She called them "Wonky". I was telling Mallory about it when I was making these new tote bags and we decided that, although my most of my seams match up, these bags look "Wonky".

This is the first one I made. The back is the watermelon fabric and the inside is the striped fabric. I love this bag. It is so summery and bright.

Mallory picked out the fabric for this bag and she is going to use it for school. She loves the fact that it is one of a kind and that no one else in the whole world will have a bag just like hers. She has a red and purple fabric on the back, non matching handles and "Taz" fabric for the lining.

So these are my "Wonky Bags". Do you think the name fits?

That's a great name for them! Especially since Wonky Mallory helped you make the decision to call them that! :)

I think your bags are more lovely than wonky, but it is a cute name. Twyla

Hi Sherry
Yippee I got your blog to download today. I had problems last week, it just kept freezing and not downloading properly. Then we went away to the beach for a few days. I have enjoyed catching up with your blog, I have missed lots. I loved seeing the Bob The Builder party! I didn't know you got that in the US. You made some beautiful things for the swaps and received some equally lovely things in return. Your wonky bags are great although they do not look wonky to me. The fabrics are beautiful.
Best Wishes
Lindsay
