Happy Independence Day!

In September of 2004 my Mom came to visit and took me and 3 of the kids to New York City for the day. I never had really thought that much about seeing the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island until I saw it that day. Suddenly I was filled with pride and a sense of patriotism. It's weird how just visiting a landmark can make you feel so different.
