Mama Mia Apron Swap

I had never seen the movie Mama Mia, but I still wanted to participate in Val's Mama Mia Apron Swap. So I borrowed the movie and finally got to watch it. I know, I'm way behind on seeing movies. Anyway, I fell in love with the colors and fabrics that the were used in the movie and of course the music. I mean, who doesn't love Abba?!?!?

This is the beautiful package that my partner Tammy sent me.
I LOVE the colors of the apron and the pattern is so cute!

Check out this border. I love the rooster and the flowers kind of remind me of the mosaic work on the floor in the movie. Yellow is my favorite color too so I really love the border!

Tammy sent this super yummy smelling pineapple scented candle and how cute is it in a drink cup?!??! The kids can't wait to use the stir sticks. What is it about kids and stir sticks.....mine love them. We decided to save them for Mallory's birthday that is coming up in a few weeks. We're going to have a tropical theme for her party so I can try out the punch recipe that Tammy sent too. Thanks for the inspiration Val and Tammy!

Here is the apron that I made for my swap partner Heather.
I'm not sure if she has received her package yet so keep this a secret.

I got the idea for the pattern from the aprons that the town's women wore. The actual apron has pleats in it though so it's kind of fitted. I hope Heather likes it. I tried it on my DIL and it looked really cute on her with her tiny figure and curves. I fell in love with this fabric. It isn't what I planned on getting, but I couldn't resist.

I made Heather a couple of dishcloths and a pot holder too. I found an easy recipe for Strawberry Margarita's that I typed up. I haven't had a Margarita in years.......way to many years I think. Sounds yummy! I also made Heather a set of 8 coasters instead of cocktail napkins. I forgot to buy the napkins when Earl took me out to get the fabric and I only get him to take me out every so often so I had to improvise.

Thanks for a fun swap Val! I can't wait for the next one!
I'm becoming an apron addict!

Sherry what a cute apron you have made for Heather.I am sure she will love it. The apron you received is fabulous - perfect colors. I only saw the movie in May so you aren't the only one that doesn't see a lot of movies,
