My kids were so excited last night about the election. I took Jace, Mallory and Ezie with me to vote. They pulled the Obama clip down and then pulled the lever together. They were so excited to be a part of the election. Lexie was so disappointed that she was 2 months to young to vote. The closer it got to the results the more excited our household got. Lexie went and got Obama campaign signs so her and the kids would have a piece of history to hang on to. Ezie and Mallory kept asking who was winning. I am so glad to see the kids so excited about the election.
I cried during John McCain's speech last night. He was so gracious. I felt so proud of him. Then I cried during Obama's speech. I felt a new hope, I felt a change in the air. A change for the better. I loved the fact that neither man had anything hateful or mean to say to each other, but instead showed respect for each other. A change already and one that I am so thankful for, a genuine respect for each other as men, as Americans.
Congratulations to America and to the First Family Elect!!!

My family also felt the change and can't wait to see where it takes us! Cathy
Hi...I just happened by your blog and feel the same way... I couldn't have said it better!
Rondell
I found you through Rondell's blog. :) I think we are checking each other's comments on our posts from yesterday. We both posted our vote for Obama...I have received a couple negative comments. :( Oh well. And I agree with you on the comment that you left on Rondell's blog. I always feel on the defense if I mention the name Obama. It's just too bad.
I am so happy about this victory for America. It's definitely time for a change
Me again, Yes I watch Dancing with the Stars...I think Susan will be the one gone tonight!

I think we have made the first step on a new path to a much, much better place.
Well said Sherry!!!!
I was watching the whole night and feel asleep right before our President Elect made his speech!!! Couldn't believe I missed it! Thank heavens for MSNBC.
Congratulations to the First Family Elect!
That family is so beatiful! What a night. I am glad you saved signs, what a smart idea! I have a John Kennedy button!
My kids were excited to watch also. Both speeches were excellent. John McCain made me very proud! He was gracious... I think the President Elect should appoint him to cabinet, don't you?
I didn't watch the returns for a while. 8 years of disappointment for me in the past. But both my son and older brother 'just had that feeling' that Obama would win!
Tell Lexie I was disappointed as I was a year too young for the Jimmy Carter 1976 election. I was a senior like her and had written a paper about him that I got an 'A' on. I had to listen to people talking down about him (my husband still refers to him as 'that peanut farmer). I still admire Jimmy so much for his smarts and integrity. My social studies teacher back then liked him too.
