Here are some flower pins I've been working on to put in my Etsy shop. I'm also working on some little chickens for Easter.
Mallory got an Historical American Girl doll from my mom last week. Mallory wanted Addy. Addy was born a slave and her story is about escaping through the Underground Railroad to be free. Mallory LOVES Addy! Thanks Mom! Mallory read the book that came with Addy and cried over how she was treated by her owner. Mallory crawled up next to me on the coach and just sobbed and sobbed. I love her compassion! This weekend we're going to make some cornmeal mush and salt pork to see what Addy's food was like.
If anyone has any American Girl doll clothes patterns or books that they would like to part with I would be interested in buying them. I want to make a couple of outfits for her and I think Earl is going to try to make her a bed.

Hi Sherry!
I just wanted to say thank you for the lovely Valentine's package you put together for me for the giveaway win!
Thank you! Thank you!

Boring? I don't think so. When you look back at your last few months of getting numerous Christmas gifts together, sending out swaps, and moving....you deserve a little downtime to just be boring. These are the days I live for!
Your flowers are beautiful. I love hearing about what the kids are doing now that they are home. What I love about homeschooling is it becomes a family event - Earl makes the bed, you and Mallory the food Addy ate. Together as a family you are learning about and experiencing Addy's life. I learn so much through my own children. Enjoy the time and don't feel you have to be doing a million things.
I totally agree with your friend Cathy!!! You've had so much on your plate!
Your flowers are lovely and how sweet is your daughter!!! The picture is priceless :)
Enjoy some downtime :)

Maybe you feel boring because you have cabin fever. When the wheather is bad here and I can't get outside everything seems so boring. Hate to brag but back here in Wichita we have been enjoying 60 weather almost everyday. Bad part sinus/allergy are bad for everyone here because it has never got cold enough to kill off anything. You will get your groove back once you get settled into your new life.
Hi Sherry
I am just catching up with your blog. We have been away for a few days.
Your flower pins are beautiful. I loved seeing your gorgeous grandchildren and Mallory and her beautiful new doll. I think the American Girl dolls are wonderful how they tell the girl's story. We don't have them over here but I would have loved one as a child.
Best Wishes
Lindsay
Hi Sherry,
Mallory is just a doll, herself. You can see the excitement in her eyes. Precious.
Have a great day,
Teresa
I love the new look, your blog is very pretty. I have a great, tasty recipe for cornmeal mush if you haven't found one yet. We don't have the dolls, yet, I think we may do build-a-bear and get their outfits first. My oldest is a tomboy and not as interested in the dolls.
I am with Cathy, you deserve the boring. Get one of the older siblings to babysit some day so you and Earl can enjoy a quiet date alone. Even if it is to McD's or an ice cream or walk, it is nice when you get that few moments of alone time!
How sweet??!!! Its so hard to find girls anymore that are actually compassionate!!!! Mallory is going to grow into a wonderfully sweet woman!!! =] Good job Sherry!!! =]
How lucky she is! I love these dolls and the stories are great too...love the hats... They make american doll patterns you know...I also love all your flowers!!! In fact I would like to have some....thinking about the future and a trade...still struggling along with packing up this Huge house and all the STUFF! Melinda
