Jack Frost came yesterday morning for his first visit and he is definitely in Upstate New York again this morning. It is cold!!! BBBBBRRRRRR!!! I'm freezing! I am one of those people though that hates to turn the furnace on. Once you turn it on it's winter and it will be on for the next 6 months. Even when it's on I never turn it above 60-62. I hate to pay for heat, but I do hate to be cold at the same time. So I will have to put my barefeet into some socks today and put on my flannel shirt to stay warm. I also hate wearing long sleeves and socks, but with Jack Frost here to stay I guess I'm going to have to change my habits..........for awhile anyway.

Sherry - I'm with you on the heat. My husband keeps turning it up in the one room - for the fish. His precious fish need to be warm. So, I curse him out every morning when I walk into the sauna (aka - the t.v. room) and turn down the heat.
Off to grab socks for me now! Beth
What a gorgeous picture. We fired up the wood stove this am. 30degrees in this neck of the woods. LIsa
Hi Sherry
It sounds like you have it even colder than we do here at the moment. Wrap up well and keep warm. Our trees are losing their leaves rapidly as it's quite windy at the moment. We met some friends yesterday for a walk in a country park and I had on a t-shirt, a jumper, a fleece and a coat. I hate being cold, it makes me grumpy!

Simply Gorgeous!
Happy Halloween!

That's too cold for my blood! I keep the heat between 66 and 68 as the bedroom part of the house (ranch style) is like a barn at night. I can only get under so many covers too.
I like and recommend 3/4 length or long sleeved cotton t-shirts like the Gap and Old Navy sell. They are comfy and can be worn under sweaters. I only own a few sweat pants. I would find someone you know who can knit socks and get some. I love the ones I have. I'm going to try and crochet some. If I get good at making them, I'll make you some. : )
Beautiful picture. It has been getting very cold at night here too. I also love to go barefoot but am having to put on the slippers lately : ) I hope you had a great weekend!

It is getting cold everywhere, well almost. We've dipped down in the 30's already. I wasn't wanting to turn on the furnace either. It's going to cost a fortune this year. I have a friend who lives alone and doesn't turn hers on - ever! She just uses space heaters. Have a good week and stay warm! Twyla
