I Just wanted to Share This

03/03/08 Ezie's note to Mallory

"My sister Mallory is the best sister ever. I love her a lot. She is there when I need her. She plays with me. She loves me like I love her. She sticks up for me so I will stick up for her. If I can't play something and she can she will not play and come up and play with me." (That's when I send him to his room, I'm such a MEAN Mom!) "She cheers for me and I cheer for her. I love her more than anything in the world. The End I love you Mal!"

I just wanted to share this note that my 9 year old son, Ezie, wrote to my 7 year old daughter, Mallory. One reason this note is so special to me is that Ezie doesn't usually acknowledge Mallory. He tends to take her for granted. Mallory on the other hand is always doing for others and writes notes like this all the time to different people. I was so touched by Ezie's recognition of this sister. I hope my kids appreciate their siblings as much as I have grown to love, admire and appreciate my own.
